That’s an evening of exquisite food and delicious drinks, just up the road at itison favourite Musa!

This evening has been created exclusively for itison members, blending the expertise of luxury whisky brand Jura, ale aficionados BrewDog and one of the area’s top restaurants for an unforgettable five course feast of seasonal Scottish fare paired with glorious drinks.

You’ll kick off the evening with an intriguingly delicious BrewDog beer cocktail paired with an amuse bouche of smoked beef fillet carpaccio, horseradish toast and pickled walnuts.

You’ll then be served a starter of gravalax with Arran mustard spiced apples, whisky crème fraiche and a dram of classic Jura 16 – a bronze medal winner at the 2004 International Wine and Spirits competition.

Next will be a heavenly hot and sour seafood broth made with BrewDog’s own Dead Pony Club ale, coriander, garlic and ginger and served with BrewDog's newest creation: Fake Lager.

For your main course, you’ll tuck into a confit duck leg served with smoked garlic mash, Musa haggis bon bon and whisky jus, served with a dram of limited edition tripple barrel finished Jura Boutique. This whisky is at least 14 years old and with only 663 bottles produced you're in for a real treat. The Isle of Jura Boutique Barrels are all vintage single cask bottlings and a real treat for whisky connoisseurs, having been bottled at full strength without chill-filtration to preserve the natural elements of the spirit.

Your fifth and final course will be a blood orange and dark chocolate cheesecake garnished with crunchy honeycomb and vanilla ice cream, paired with the restaurant’s exclusive brew: Musa Jura Riptide!

Finally, you’ll round off your meal with a glass of Jura 30, previewed back at The Whisky Show in 2012 and long awaited since. The whisky has been matured in American oak for most of its life, finishing in Gonzalez Byass Oloroso butts for 3 years to give it a unique flavour before bottling.
