Scotland’s first science centre
Satrosphere has been spreading the ‘science’ word to little and big people for over two decades. Originally opened in 1989, it is a trailblazer as Scotland’s first science centre!
Using interactive, hands-on exhibits and live science shows, you’ll learn all about the world we live in and far, far beyond, as well as exploring the science behind everyday objects and occurrences. This is a great chance to encourage budding scientists and inspire experiments at home!
Check out one of their planetarium shows and you can ponder exciting questions about the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
Family day out
Satrosphere Science Centre welcomes children and adults of all ages, and is the perfect solution for anybody on the search for a fab family day out!
Young ones will love Fossils and Funny Bones; a multisensory exhibitions exhibition which kicks off on June 18th, whereas older ones will marvel at the Large Hadron Collider exhibition featuring a life size replica of a section of the tunnel which allowed scientists to discover the Higgs Boson in 2012. This exhibition, about the world's largest science experiment, is on until 14th June, so get your skates on!

Even though I knew that my toddler was on the young side to appreciate everything, she got stuck in and fiddled about with all the experiments.
