Lovely hotel, friendly staff, great deal

Purchased the Itison voucher, we were given a privilege room overlooking the river, very comfortable, lovely surprise. Outside appearance is not the best, but do not be put off, very central for arriving by train or bus, and for leaving shopping you have purchased. We were able to use our free bottle of wine at dinner, bonus.
Dinner was two courses and we chose to share a starter, had our mains, & shared a dessert. We cannot eat 3 courses. The food was lovely.
Breakfast had great choices from the help yourself, cereals, granola with lots of bits to add in, inc yoghurt. There was a fridge with meat, cheese etc, make your toast, jams etc The hot selection inc sausage, haggis, bacon, eggs fried & scrambled, potato scone, mushroom, beans. Coffee/tea/water machine, unfortunately hot choc machine was broken, but they did offer to make me one. Selection of fruit juice & cold water. -
