Princes Street, EH1 2AB
With today’s deal, you can tuck into a decadent afternoon tea in Peacock Alley, a former station concourse stunningly transformed into the opulent room it is now. You’ll be served a sumptuous selection of finger sandwiches with fillings like gin-cured salmon with Campari crème fraîche and orange as well as a selection of scones and cakes like a Tequila Sunrise macaron and a Black Russian cheesecake.
It will all be served with your choice of fine loose leaf tea or speciality coffee plus an indulgent drink of your choice. Go for a sparkling glass of Prosecco each or a Botanist gin cocktail for a refreshing treat. If you really want to go all out, you can upgrade to include a bottle of Perrier Jouet Champagne, opened with Sabrage. In case you’re not familiar (we weren’t!), sabrage is the art of opening a bottle of Champagne with a sabre, which Napoleon’s cavalry would do on the battlefields in the 19th century. It’s certain to add a very dramatic flair to your afternoon, and will be an experience you’ll never forget!
