In an enviable location just off the bustling Royal Mile, tucked between Holyrood Palace and the famous Edinburgh Castle, lies the beautiful Hotel du Vin Edinburgh. Inspired by French home-style cooking with a menu packed full of hearty dishes and slow-cooked foods, meals here showcase simply the best of British dining.
- Seared galician octopus with braised lentils and salsa verde
- Kale and butterhead Caesar salad with soft boiled egg and crisp pancetta
- Woodall’s family black combe air-dried ham with iced galia melon
- Watercress and spinach soup with poached egg and sour cream
- 200g burger patty on a sesame seed black brioche bun with Roquefort cheese and mushroom ketchup
- Normandy chicken cobb salad with roast chicken, Roquefort cheese, avocado, tomatoes, brioche croutons, soft boiled egg and pancetta

We enjoyed everything about our visit to Hotel Du Vin, the ambience, food, wine selection and the service were very good. The young lady that served us was very polite and charming, altogether the staff seemed to work very well as a team to give everyone the perfect dining experience. We will definitely return and would recommend to friends and family.
