It’s the perfect base to explore the beautiful coastline and golf courses or discover a little more about Ayrshire’s most famous son, Robert Burns.

We travel through from Glasgow to stay in Ayrshire 3 or 4 times a year. Normally we base ourselves in Troon, but after our recent experience staying overnight at the Carlton, we shall definitely stay there again. The town of Prestwick is very interesting. Close to the sea, and with excellent shops and restaurants.
The only downside is that the hotel does not have a lift, so that might be a problem for some people. -
