Small print

• Voucher is valid from Sat 17 Sept until Sun 30 Oct 2016, Sept: Sat-Sun, Oct: Wed-Thur & Sat-Sun on 12.30pm and 2.45pm services from Aviemore only, subject to availability.
• Excludes Sept: Mon-Fri, Oct: Mon-Tues & Fri, and 29 Oct 2016.
• Please note Sunday services in Sept & Oct will see each train hauled by a vintage diesel engine; all other services throughout Sept and Oct are scheduled to be steam hauled.
• Duration approx. 1 hour 30 mins.
• Advanced booking required. Voucher must be booked by Fri 14 Oct 2016 (we don’t want you to miss out!).
• Bookings must be made at least 7 days in advance of preferred date of travel.
• You risk forfeiting your voucher if you cancel within 7 days of your booking.
• Multiple purchases permitted.
• Suitable for all ages; under 5’s travel free. Children are classed as aged 5-15 years, adults are 16+.
• Family ticket permits two adults and up to three children.
• Seating is unreserved.
• Meeting point: The Strathspey Railway – Platform 3.
• Dogs are welcome aboard the train free of charge, excluding dining and first class areas.
• Free parking available at Aviemore station.  
• Ticket is valid for travel only and does not include any food or drink.
• The Aviemore Station Platform is wheelchair accessible from The Strathspey Railway's free car park. The vintage carriages are regrettably not accessible for wheelchair users. If less able visitors can take a few steps to the seating areas, station staff and guards will be readily available to offer assistance.
• Wheelchair accommodation on board is limited to Guard’s Van – a smaller area of the main carriage set where wheelchair users can remain in wheelchairs throughout the trip along the line, with a very limited number of seats available for family, friends and carers.
• Station staff and guard staff will be available to assist any visitors who may be restricted to travelling in the Guard’s Van. Unfortunately, there is no disabled access to toilets on board the heritage carriages.
• Departures valid from Aviemore only. Customers can get off at a station and return on later train if they wish but must ensure they have referred to the timetable for suitable times and to ensure there is a later train available. Timetable can be viewed here.
• Under normal circumstances, and except otherwise shown, the schedule of the steam hauled trains will be as indicated on the timetable. However, The Strathspey Railway reserves the right to use diesel power if necessary and to alter, suspend or cancel the timetable in whole or in part without any notice.
• The beginning and end period of a voucher’s validity is always the busiest. We advise members to book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
• Vouchers must be printed for redemption; please print your voucher and bring along with you to avoid disappointment.
• Voucher is not exchangeable for cash or valid with any other offers.
