Hi can you advise why the age is from 8 years when children aged 5 are allowed entry?

I can confirm this deal is suitable for ages 8+ however it is up to the discretion of the accompanying adult. Please note children 5 years and under will not be admitted to the Dungeon and this is in line with the venue's terms and conditions.

Sorry bit confused about my last response in relation to children aged 5+ being allowed in - you state they are not allowed in but you can buy tickets online on their website for 5+ so they can get into the dungeons

What to expect

One or two tickets plus souvenir guidebook and 10% off in shop

Single day ticket voucher is valid from Mon 1 Apr 2019 until Sun 30 Jun 2019, 7 days, 10am – 5pm; subject to availability. Advance booking is not required.

Season pass voucher is valid from Mon 1 Apr 2019 - Tue 31 Dec 2019, 7 days, 10am – 5pm; subject to availability. Voucher must be exchanged for unlimited passes by Sun 30 Jun 2019.

Please note unlimited annual pass is valid for the whole of 2019, there will be new shows for Summer and Halloween.

Opening times may vary, please check the website for your chosen day.

Advance booking not required; for groups of 10+ please advise The Edinburgh Dungeon at least 24 hours in advance.

Multiple purchases permitted. 

Suitable for ages 8+ however it is up to the discretion of the accompanying adult. Please note children 5 years and under will not be admitted to the Dungeon.

Ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult age 16+.

Duration approx. 80mins.

Please note navigating around the Dungeon will be mainly via level pathways. However due to the nature of the attraction some floor surfaces are uneven. Access is also gained via stairs and lifts to the various levels of the attraction.

You will be required to stand for most of the Edinburgh Dungeon tour.

Wheelchair access available; please note wheelchair users or guests who have considerable difficulties walking cannot access the Boat Ride; wheelchair users must be able to transfer un-aided into and out of the ride seats.

Option 1 & 2 include a souvenir guidebook and 10% off in the gift shop.

Option 3 includes a souvenir guidebook between two and 10% off in the gift shop each.

The beginning and end period of a voucher’s validity is always the busiest.

Vouchers must be printed for redemption; please print your voucher and bring along with you to avoid disappointment. 

Voucher is not exchangeable for cash or valid with any other offers.
