Good stay despite a few problems

We had a good time at the Cardrona. The parking was plentiful and the bedroom was really lovely. It was clean and very comfortable. We had a view of the golf course and the weather was fantastic so all good. The best hotel bedroom I’ve had in a long while. It was a great pity the lift was not working and we were on the second floor. My husband can’t walk very well and he found it quite difficult. The hotel was full so they couldn’t or wouldn’t change rooms for us.
The other disappointment was the food. At breakfast, the fruit salad was really yummy but the rest of the breakfast wasn’t great. Very limited choice of cereal and the cooked breakfast was poor.
The toaster produced bread with was either burnt or just warm bread - no in between!!
I wouldn’t say it was value for the money we paid but the room was nice.
We were meeting family which also made our visit to the area special. -
Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel with excellent food and friendly staff.

This hotel has a lovely setting overlooking the golf course.. It is comfortable and clean although the bedroom furniture was a bit worn. Bathroom was spotless with fresh fluffy towels every day.
We had breakfast and dinner for four nights and the food was excellent.
All the staff were helpful and friendly. One of the maids carried my luggage up the stairs as the lift was broken which was certainly inconvenient.
