Old Curiosity Gin
Based at the Secret Herb Garden on the outskirts of Edinburgh, the Old Curiosity Gin distillery uses the produce grown there to make their delicious gin. They hand-pick and dry the garden’s flowers then distill, bottle and label on site. You’ll see over 1,000 juniper bushes and 600 herbs and florals at the beautiful garden, used by founder Hamish Martin, a renowned Scottish herbologist, to make the tasty tipple.
Praise for the Secret Herb Garden
“I adore this place, it has everything I love. Lots of fresh herbs and fruits growing under cover in an amazing setting alongside vintage upcycled furniture and quirky books, candles and garden-inspired crafts for sale within the cafe and small shop.”
“It really could not have been more pleasant. I had a wander round the herb gardens as well and there is even some really nice shopping to be done here - gifts, homeware and children's clothing. I could have happily stayed all afternoon! There are brilliant activities here for children as well.”
“Lovely café and plant nursery on the outskirts of Edinburgh. They always have something going on at the weekend and there's plenty to see and do if you have green fingers.”
