One of the oldest established and most luxurious country house hotels in Scotland, the idyllic Rufflets Hotel is set within 10 acres of award-winning enchanted gardens on the outskirts of St Andrews. Previously awarded the prestigious title of AA Hotel of the Year Scotland 2015/16, it’s just a few minutes’ drive from an excellent choice of golf courses, beaches and the charming shops and museums of St Andrews.
- Breast of wood pigeon with puy lentils, glazed carrots, pithivier and juniper berries
- Eden Mill-cured salmon served with caramelised lemon purée, compressed cucumber and caperberries
- Pressing of pork served with Braeburn apple, tarragon, Stornoway black pudding, apple fritter and a cider dressing
- Fillet of halibut served alongside butter-poached lobster, charred baby gem salad, sugar snap peas and dill beurre blanc

- Excludes 6 – 22 Jan 2019 (hotel will be undergoing refurbishment during this time).
- A supplementary charge of £35 per room per night is required for Friday and Saturday stays; payable directly to hotel.
- Advance booking required. Voucher must be booked by Fri 1 Mar 2019 (we don’t want you to miss out!).
- You risk forfeiting your voucher if you cancel within 72 hours of your booking. Booking dates may be changed for an admin charge of £25 per room; payable directly to hotel.
- Multiple voucher purchases permitted. Multiple vouchers cannot be used on consecutive nights.
- Check-in 3pm, check-out 11am.

- Rooms can be upgraded for a supplementary charge per room per night: Superior room £30, Turret room £50 or Suite £70; payable directly to hotel.

Attentive staff ensuring a relaxed and pampered stay

Very impressed by kitchen garden and the range of excellent food grown within the hotel grounds. Given this and given the hotel’s commitment nutritious and delicious home grown produce it was surprising not to see any Vegan options on the menu. I am sure that if put to the test the hotel gardeners and chefs would have collaborated to produce some excellent vegan choices. However putting such options on the menu as routine would evidence the hotel’s commitment to sustainability as well as encouraging a wider range of clientele. While my wife and I are not vegan (though we try and reduce our meat and dairy intake) our daughters are, so we would tend not to bring them to a hotel where vegan cuisine is an afterthought.
