With a great little spot in the village of Dundonald, this gorgeous restaurant and bar is the perfect place to unwind with food and a few drinks as you take in the original stone walls, oak wood beams and stylish bar. A family-run venue, The Auchans is the sister venue to The Waterfront in Ayr overlooking the pretty river, so you know you’re guaranteed a lovely warm welcome from the moment you walk in the door, as well as exceptional service.
- Chicken liver pâté with red onion chutney and toasted bread
- Ham hock terrine with pickled vegetables, mustard dressing and toasted bread
- Grilled goat’s cheese with grape chutney and roast cherry tomatoes
- Pan fried breast of chicken with creamed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and peppercorn sauce
- West Coast fish and chips with mushy peas and homemade tartare sauce
- The Auchans burger; 8oz homemade beef patty in a toasted bap with lettuce, tomato and mayo, served with onion rings and fries
