£19 instead of £39 for two tickets to see Sam Shepard's jet black comedy, True West at the Citizens Theatre on Fri 8th Nov or Sat 9th Nov; starring ex-Eastenders star, Alex Ferns, and River City's Barbara Rafferty - save 51%

Sometimes getting a different perspective on things can help you see more clearly.

Raise the curtains with today’s itison deal for two tickets to see Tony Award nominated play, True West at the Citizens Theatre on Friday 8th November or Saturday 9th November for just £19.

That’s a 51% saving on some spectacular viewing.

One of the greatest plays of the 20th century, True West tells the story of Austin who is on the verge of success in his career as a Hollywood screen-writer but is hindered by the re-appearance of his maverick brother and petty thief, Lee. Lee decides to pitch his own idea for a movie and convinces the producer to ditch Austin’s love story for his own trashy Western tale.

As the brothers begin to work together, the mistrust and jealousy between them begins to bubble to the surface. Appearing at the Gorbals theatre for the first time, Alex Ferns, best known for his Eastenders role as villain, Trevor Morgan, tops the bill as Lee, alongside Eugene O’Hare, star of the critically acclaimed Black Mirror by Charlie Brooker and TV’s psychological thriller The Fall, as Austin.

The Citizens’ stage also welcomes back Barbara Rafferty, star of River City as the mother of the two brothers.

Having attracted actors such as Tommy Lee Jones, John Malkovich, Philip Seymour Hoffman and John C. Reilly to the roles of the brothers in the past, this modern classic is one that shouldn’t be missed.
