About this event

Have both this Halloween and celebrate all hallows eve at the Galoshans Festival where actors, musicians, dancers and performers from across Europe and Scotland will take to the streets of Greenock for a weekend to remember.

• 3 day cultural feast bringing artists from across Europe and Scotland
• A children's Galoshans Halloween parade with lights, music and carnival atmosphere
• Focusing on the theme of ‘when two worlds touch’
• Street theatre by The Ljud Group from Slovenia
• Family workshops
• Visual Art Exhibition in Greenock's Old Tobacco Warehouse 
• Performance from Oceanallover
• Photographic work by Maria McCavana created from ghost stories of the town
• Choirs performing with Stage Code from the Czech Republic
• Street bands playing with the fabulous Orkestra Del Sol
• Artist Stephen Hurrel’s remarkable film and installations
• A full size paper boat created by German artist Frank Bolter as a homage to George Wyllie
• Artists’ trails created by Greenock’s own vibrant arts community
• A Tea Dance in the Beacon Arts Centre
• A massive cardboard tower created by the French artist Olivier Grossetete and you, the public
• Galoshans Festival is funded by Creative Scotland, IN SITU and the Inverclyde Place Partnership and is produced by UZ Arts in partnership with the Inverclyde Place Partnership and the Beacon Arts Centre
