About this event

Take on a weekend of heroic celebrations as The Wallace Monument celebrates Braveheart’s release 20 years ago with face painting, archery, re-enactments, movie screenings and much more for the whole family!

  • 25% off admission to the National Wallace Monument for itison ticket holders
  • Special live performances by costumed actors, recreating moments from the film
  • Weapons demonstrations and a chance for you to check out your sword skills
  • Fun activities for kids including face painting (Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September) and costumes for dressing up!
  • Archery demonstrations (Sunday 6th September) and the chance to try archery free of charge to those who purchase admission tickets for the Monument
  • Braveheart souvenirs and gifts including a free souvenir certificate for all Monument visitors
  • Braveheart quiz - how well do you know Braveheart the movie?
  • Screenings of Braveheart (Thursday 3rd September) at The Macrobert Arts Centre at 2pm and 7.30pm. Tickets can be booked online at www.macrobertartscentre.org
