I have a voucher for afternoon tea at the Carlton George Hotel , Glasgow . Am having trouble booking it . Tried redeeming it yesterday online but couldn't . Today I tried phoning them . Although they had a space at 16.30 the girl said I had to book it online and had to give 24 hours notice . Is there an easy way of booking are they only interested in getting your money ? ( ie a scam ? )

Hi there,

Would it be possible to substitute the pink gin for a glass of Prosecco? I have booked for 4 but 2 people in our party don’t like gin.

I can confirm pink gin can be replaced with a soft drink but I'm afraid it can't be substituted for prosecco.

I have just contacted the Carlton Hotel to check availability for my preferred date. The Hotel advise the vouchers are not redeemable on ANY Saturday yet your t's & c's state only Saturdays between 22 Mar - 12 Apr cannot be used on this offer.

What to expect

Afternoon tea for two with a goblet of pink gin each

Voucher is valid from Sun 1 Mar 2020 until Fri 25 Sept 2020; 7 days, 12noon – 4.30pm; subject to availability.

Excludes 22 Mar and 12 Apr 2020.

Supplement of £6 per person is required for Saturday bookings; please pay the venue directly.

Advance booking required. Voucher must be booked by Mon 14 Sept 2020 (we don’t want you to miss out!).

Online bookings only.

You risk forfeiting your voucher if you cancel within 24 hours of your booking.

Multiple voucher purchases permitted; max of 4 vouchers per table.

Afternoon tea only. Menu can be viewed here; subject to change.

Vegetarian options are available; please advise restaurant at time of booking. No gluten / wheat free options available.

Includes tea and coffee and 25ml of Gordon’s pink gin and your choice of lemonade or tonic. Alcohol can be replaced with a soft drink.

Table required back after 1hr 30mins.

Wheelchair access available.

Children permitted.

The venue may restrict the number of itison bookings on each day so please book early if you want a specific date.

The beginning and end period of a voucher’s validity is always the busiest. We advise members to book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Vouchers must be printed for redemption. Please print your voucher and bring along with you to avoid disappointment.
