Is there an minimum age for the Edinburgh dungeons? My son is 8 ?

Thanks for getting in touch!

The Edinburgh Dungeons are recommended for ages 8+ but it is ultimately up to the discretion of the accompanying adult. Children aged 5 years and under won't be admitted to the Dungeon.

All children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 16+.

Can you explain what is the actual ticket please as on the Dungeon website there is a standard entry fixed to a time at £14 or a flexible ticket at £17 with no time and fast track line

What to expect

Two tickets plus a souvenir guidebook

Voucher is valid from Mon 1 Jul 2019 until Wed 31 Jul 2019, valid 7 days; subject to availability.

Opening times may vary, please check the website for your chosen day.

Advance booking not required; for groups of 10+ please advise The Edinburgh Dungeon at least 24 hours in advance.

Multiple purchases permitted.

Suitable for ages 8+ however it is up to the discretion of the accompanying adult. Please note children 5 years and under will not be admitted to the Dungeon.

Ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult age 16+.

Duration approx. 1 hr 10 mins.

Please note navigating around the Dungeon will be mainly via level pathways. However due to the nature of the attraction some floor surfaces are uneven. Access is also gained via stairs and lifts to the various levels of the attraction.

You will be required to stand for most of the Edinburgh Dungeon tour.

Wheelchair access available; please note wheelchair users or guests who have considerable difficulties walking cannot access the Boat Ride; wheelchair users must be able to transfer un-aided into and out of the ride seats.

The beginning and end period of a voucher’s validity is always the busiest.

Voucher is not exchangeable for cash or valid with any other offers.
