If you’re having to homeschool, at least make it a magical school! We’ve put together our favourite ways to bring the magic to your living room, with classes covering everything you need to become a witch or wizard.
And, yes, it’s also 100% acceptable to do this as an adult without kids.
Starting a new school can be daunting, which is why you’ll always get an induction.

Dragon’s blood and leeches have become harder to get in Tesco these days, so we’ve tracked down some potions using easily-found ingredients like lemon juice, bicarbonate of soda and vegetables. These also double as a science experiment for kids, which is a win-win for homeschool!

Wouldn’t it be amazing to just be able to bring wild animals into your living room? Well, this is 2020 and Google has made it possible to do just that. All you need to do is use your phone to Google your favourite animal, then hit ‘view in 3D’ and Google will then use your phone’s camera to beam the animal right into your living room. It doesn’t work with all animals, so have fun discovering what ones you can find. Here’s our favourites so far:
- Brown bear
- Emperor penguin
- Giant panda
The streets are quieter and there’s less light pollution just now, making it the perfect time to chill and do some stargazing. If you’re lucky enough to have binoculars or a telescope, dust them down and have a look.
