Born in the Borders
Launched in 2014, Born in the Borders is an extraordinary visitor centre located next to the Scottish Borders Brewery. Set on the banks of the River Teviot, it brings together the best of everything that is grown, made, spun, produced, cooked and created in the area.
With a food and drink shop, a goods and gifts shop, a stunning café and restaurant, riverside walks, picnic spots and brewery tours, there’s no better way to discover the incredible wealth of products and goods our amazing region has to offer.
“Born in the Borders has great facilities in a lovely setting. The food is amazing and there’s fun things for the kids, like grass sledging, a play area and river walks. Whilst the kids play, adults can visit the distillery and shop. With something for everyone, it’s a hidden gem!”
“Born in the Borders at Lanton Mills has much to offer in addition to a restaurant. Beer and gin are produced here plus it has an outdoor play area for the kids.”
“We visited with our four children, ranging from 3 1/2 to 14 years of age. We tried the grass sledging and then the kids played in the play area. We also visited the distillery, café and shop. Such a fantastic place with very friendly and helpful staff.”
