Old Washington Road, Sunderland, SR5 3HZ
Today’s deal makes for the perfect mate date or fun-filled family day out with tickets to the incredible North East Land, Sea and Air Museums. Housed on a huge site that was formerly home to Sunderland Airport and the RAF Usworth base, this fascinating museum boasts a collection of over 30 aircrafts, military vehicles, historical buses, trams and loads more.
Amongst these exciting displays of motor history lies the star attraction - the mighty Vulcan Bomber! Famously used between 1956 and 1984 by the RAF, this incredible strategic bomber sits outside the main museum for all to marvel at. Accompanied by a collection of historical artefacts including a static WW1 fighter plane and a replica street from London during The Blitz, this museum makes for the perfect day out for any motor head!
On top of the museum’s impressive gallery of artefacts, a brand new attraction has safely made its way to North East; a 15/19 Hussars Scorpion tank is now proudly on display and ready for visitors. And that’s not all that’s new with this educational gem – the museum has been named as one of the best places to visit in Sunderland!
