Scotland’s most exciting drive-in movie experience! We’ve welcomed over 200,000 visitors to our sold events enjoying screenings of Harry Potter at Glencoe, Jaws overlooking the sea at Troon and Valentine’s Day showings of Top Gun at Edinburgh Airport. And now we’re adding our Summer of Lockdown series where you can enjoy a movie on the world’s largest mobile LED screen, our famous car-aoke, gourmet street food whilst maintaining social distancing (including going for a pee!).
Please read below everything we’re doing to make our event safe during Covid. We’ve been working closely with the Scottish Government and implementing a series of new measures to make our events event safer.
Drive-In is taking place from 29th July – 4th August 2020.
You can check out our line-up here.
Tickets go on sale here at 10am on Tuesday 30th June 2020 exclusively on itison.
Tickets are £32 per car, which is inclusive of a £5 booking fee.
Your ticket covers your vehicle, a driver and up to 4 passengers. We recommend you don’t overload your car to ensure all passengers can comfortably view the screen through the windscreen.
You must bring your ticket to the event and you can either print it or show it on your phone. Please keep in mind signal may be patchy, so if you're going to show your ticket on your phone we'd recommend taking a screenshot to be on the safe side! Please note, we will not be physically taking tickets, due to Covid 19, and will scan them through the car window.
Absolutely! You're welcome to attend as many screenings as you like. If you have tickets for consecutive screenings, please let the stewards know when you arrive and show them your ticket for the next movie. Between screenings, a steward will guide your car forward to the front of the park or ask you to re-join the queue to enter.
We’ve been liaising with Event Scotland and the Scottish Government for weeks and have established a series of working practices to make our event even safer and socially distanced. Here are some of the main elements:
No. Please do not come if:
Yes, Drive-In is suitable for those in wheelchairs or with mobility issues.
Yes! There’ll be gourmet street food including veggie, vegan and gluten-free options for take away. Social distance measures will in place in the queue and our team will be on hand to ensure everyone is sticking to the rules.
Please note, there is no alcohol sold or permitted on-site.
The gates open 1.5 - 2 hours in advance of each screening time. Check your ticket for the gate-open time for the screening you’re attending.
You'll need a vehicle with a working FM radio in order to hear the movie. A copy of your ticket is required – either printed or on your phone. We'd recommend taking a screenshot as signal may be patchy. You might also want to bring a pillow or duvet to make your experience extra cosy in the car.
If there's a little rain, just turn on your windscreen wipers! In the unlikely event of extreme weather conditions, please check our Facebook and Twitter pages for updates before setting off.
If the event is cancelled for any reason, your ticket will automatically be refunded by itison via your original payment method within 3-5 working days.
Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. You can gift your ticket to a friend though and make their day.
