The most epic event to hit Glasgow is just around the corner, so here are 5 things you need to know before you GLOW!
The easiest way to get to GlasGLOW is on the subway. Get off at Hillhead or Kelvinbridge and you’re only a few minutes’ walk from the main entrance of The Botanic Gardens. Make sure you arrive no later than 10 minutes before your time slot and have your tickets with you to show our friendly marshalls – just show them on your phone (or print them if you want) but don’t forget them!
This is a family-friendly event and you’re welcome to bring buggies, but you might find it easier to bring wee ones in a carrier if you have one. There’s one wee scary bit but it’s well signposted so you can easily skip it – and if you don’t have kids with you, we won’t tell anyone you’re a scaredy cat! Speaking of cats (and dogs!) – please don’t bring your pets with you (unless they’re an assistance dog.)
We can’t wait for you to step into the light but, don’t forget, this is an outdoor event in Scotland so dress for the weather - make sure you’re wrapped up to stray warm and dry and wear sensible shoes! Fancy dress is encouraged and there will be treats for guisers along the way so show us your best Halloween costumes!
There will be loads of amazing food, hot drinks and treats to buy from our gourmet street food vendors – from shrimp rolls to churros to marshmallows you can toast yourself in firepits! Most take cards but there are cash points on Byres Road too.
