A very warm welcome, great customer service, the room was immaculately clean & beautifully decorated with every tea & coffee choice covered along with fresh milk. The meal was amazing & enjoyed a few drinks in the wee snug bar. Wee touches made it. A beautiful place to enjoy excellent fine dining away from it all. Would highly recommend. The only suggestion I have would be a few light bite options/small menu with simple food options i.e. homemade soup, toastie & pasta & chips etc.

On arrival was met promptly and quick check in and shown to our room. The room was lovely and welcoming and beautifully decorated. There was a well stocked tea/coffee tray and lovely toiletries in the bathroom. The food is excellent and presentation is superb. On our first night we had a 3 course taster menu which was fabulous and our second night we chose from the a la carte menu again fabulous. The chef Chris is extremely talented and I can honestly say his food is definitely the best I have eaten in a long while.

My issue is that the Kenmuir Arms decided to use the voucher to pay for a BBQ on the Saturday at a ticket price of £15 per person.
We were charged the full amount of £68 for a 2 course meal on the Friday. We did not receive a welcome drink.
The Chef/Patron offered an explanation about a tasting menu including the famous pies but they are not gluten free ( my wife is GF) and only a cock-a-leekie option was visible on the specials board. There was no mention of Starter/Dessert on the Specials Board - only pie and Veg priced at £22
If trying for a Michelin Star - this kind of behaviour will not help.
