We enjoyed our after hours visit to the zoo as a family of 4. We attended last year too and it was great to come back in better weather and to see the new additions to the zoo- Sloth Bear being our favourite!

We loved the evening at Edinburgh Zoo. The zoo was fairly quiet meaning we could see everything with ease and really take our time to enjoy the visit. There were lots of staff around who shared their expertise and experience making this even more informative. Would definitely return for an evening session.

The late entry was great as we got to see some animals before their enclosures closed but still enjoyed a quieter time after the regular closing time.
The hill was pretty steep but nothing my daughter and I couldn't manage

It poured the whole visit to Zoo. Couldn't see many animals due to bad weather and not such a nice experience for our three year old Grandson who was excited to go. It was a nice touch including ice cream but had to find shelter to eat them. It really should have been cancelled.

Great value. Kids loved being at the zoo as it was getting dark. The ice cream from the itison deal was a huge bonus!

Had a great evening visit. Couldn't see all the animals as some enclosures were closed and others had lights out but still saw enough for it to be a great visit. Only downside was the Scottish summer weather #soaked.
Cost of parking was a little steep, especially for evening visit.

A very disappointing trip to the Zoo. It has really gone down hill. I’m glad I managed to buy tickets on itison, would have been very upset paying full price. The place needs a ton of money pumped into it, it’s covered in weeds, there are empty enclosures full of overgrown plants/weeds that could be filled with animals, we saw more Lego animals than actual animals! This is more feedback for the Zoo as opposed to itison…..there are visitors who come to Edinburgh specifically to visit the Zoo, it must be such a let down for them after spending a lot of money for not a lot to see. Chester Zoo is the best Zoo in the UK. Edinburgh could learn a lot from them!
