It was a challenge approaching the restaurant from the main entrance to the hotel - endless corridors and stairs; it would have been better to drive up to the restaurant entrance had we been aware of this. The staff were excellent, the restaurant had lovely views and we were seated by the window. The afternoon tea was splendid, especially the quiche and the superb scones (some of the best we've tasted).

This is the 3rd time I’ve had afternoon tea at the gleddoch and it’s gorgeous . We also had the lentil and ham soup this time . It was lovely but just too much before the afternoon tea i had to box the afternoon tea up and take it home

The afternoon tea was magnificent in both quality and quantity. The warm quiche portions to start were really tasty, while the posset, which we left to the end, was sumptuous. The sandwiches and scones in between were equally good. The service was attentive, while the views were magnificent.
The only snag was wheelchair access; we initially went to the hotel, then were redirected to the golf clubhouse. Access there was slightlt convoluted, though clear signage would have helped immensely. Although we arrived at the hotel at 2.00, it was nearly 2.30 when we sat down at our table.

Have previously stayed over at the Gleddoch and used all of the facilities with a great experience however this time around was very disappointing due to service! Had to continually ask for things for example tea to go with out afternoon tea and when we did we only received one pot ( I would have thought this would be standard with an afternoon tea!), ask for condiments to which no one came with then asked for cocktail menu with no one coming back to take order………felt really as if staff didn’t want to be bothered……..so disappointing!

Easy to use the itison voucher. Staff were friendly, views over the river Clyde were incredible and the good was absolutely delicious.

The afternoon tea was delicious. Variety of savoury and sweet was great. Great GF options. The restaurant was beautiful and the tables were well spaced. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately on the day the weather wasn’t great so we couldn’t take advantage of the view, so we will need to go back. One of the best afternoon teas I have bought from itison. Excellent afternoon tea and I will def buy again!

3 stars + as you don’t have a rating for good. Service was excellent and the scones were sublime - best scones tasted at an afternoon tea by far. The cake selection was a bit mixed. One of our group thought the chocolate brownie was delicious and the profiterole was lovely too. However there was a cupcake which wasn’t particularly exciting with a blob of cream on top
Sandwich fillings were average/basic - egg mayo, cheese savoury, pastrami and the savouries were quiche, which was nice and a leek tart which lacked seasoning wee bit more variety on the savouries would have gone down well.
Overall it was fine, we all enjoyed it, couldn’t finish the cakes, the service was attentive but not invasive. The setting is lovely and those scones were wow!! Just not sure I’d rush back for afternoon tea.
