Have been a few times in the past but think this will be the last visit. Took 3 attempts to get into the room as key card wouldn't work until 3rd attempt having to go back to reception each time.
Informed by email before arrival and at reception that pool was closed - this was part of the reason for booking so would have been nice to be offered a complimentary something.
Had gone for option with dinner and menu was in room - pretty much made up our minds before going. My choice of Ragu was unavailable (at 6:30 - seems like it wasn't made). My wife ordered the Beef Stroganoff - took 10 minutes to come back and tell us this was off too.
I had the pork belly - poor and little of it, my wife had steak frites which was good.

Food was lovely but rooms could be doing to be refurbished, no grout in between tiles in bathroom floor, windows were very dirty and curtains covered in cobwebs

Very friendly and straightforward check-in, room and bathroom a bit tired looking. We had a fantastic dinner. Breakfast was disappointing, scrambled eggs and bacon amongst other hot buffet items looked like they had been out from the previous day :(. I've stayed at this hotel lots of times and never had an issue with breakfast before, hopefully just a blip.

Good location in the heart of historic Stirling.
Our room though, particularly the bathroom, was a bit "tired".
Had a problem with the tv remote which failed to function (keypad characters worn and battery compartment cover missing). The replacement unit had also
seen better days (no battery compartment cover) and again failed to work properly.
Breakfast service on our first morning appeared to be understaffed. The self service buffet was untidy and needed some attention.
That said, enjoyed our short break in Stirling.

Food was delicious , room comfortable and staff very helpful .
The pool area was lovely but needs a sign to say this is a quiet / relaxing area please speak quietly. There were two men shouting in the steam room and pool area and it spoilt the relaxing atmosphere.

A lovely hotel with extremely helpful and pleasant staff. However, i was a little disappointed with our 'premium' room. It was a special occasion and I paid the upgrade fee from regular to 'premium'. A comfortable room with beautiful views but I would have expected a bigger bath, for example, and some more complementary items for bathing, a better coffee than Nescafe instant. A promised fruit basket never arrived, even after chasing it up and the phone in the room did not work. None.of these things really bothered me personally but it felt 'regular' not 'premium'. Staff couldn't be faulted.

We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel was lovely, food amazing. The bedrooms could do we a bit of maintenance. And the nachos are not good value for money.

Had a lovely stay. Room nice. Swimming pool great although was not informed there were aqua arobics classes so pool closed to residents. Meals were lovely . Breakfast good choice of food but heating lamps did not keep food hot only Luke warm.
Great location and has a car park
