This event was falsely advertised! It was sold as a "Christmas concert" with the last part of the programme promising a "festive medley" after Vivaldi's four seasons. However after this finished the whole event ended, no festive/Christmas music at all. On top of this, it was meant to be a "candlelight concert" and there was only 2 tiny stands with a few candles on each. Not worth the money at all and very disappointed! We noticed people walking out in the interval and wish we did the same. Such a waste of a night which was meant to be festive!

Lovely concert at St Giles . Pianist was excellent and so talented. As it was a candlelight concert it would have been more atmospheric had some more of the overhead lights beeen dimmmed.
However very enjoyable.

It was a lovely evening And in a nice cathedral
What I would improve is the light in the cathedral maybe more candles
And the champagne glass was very small
A bit disappointing and then you have to pay if you want another small glass
Disappointing

Is disabled parking allowed in the square immediately outside St Giles ?

Tickets did say restricted view but the instrumentalists were facing the other audience. Didn't even feel like I was at a live event. Music was lovely but felt like second class citizens. Very disappointing.Left at interval?

St Giles Cathedral is a uniquely special and historic location for a classical concert. The pianist gave a wonderful performance, showing her skills in an intimate setting. I only wish more people had bought tickets.

We booked this concert using an Itison voucher that was given as a birthday present. There was hardly any info on the website when booking in terms of seating positions and, when we got to the venue, we had to sit so far away (it was a very big cathedral) that we couldn't see the performers and the sound was so distant that it sounded like it was coming from a different room. Just because we paid with vouchers (which were bought by someone, remember) doesn't mean that we should be treated like second class citizens and forced into an experience that did not do justice to the brilliant but very distant performers.
