Balbirnie was a fantastic place to stay. The staff were very attentive and accommodating at all times.We enjoyed relaxing in the library bar,and our food experience was amazing.Our suite was beautiful.
The overnight stay was a lovely gift given to us by a friend who thought it would allow us to get to know Balbirnie House in preparation for our Daughters wedding there in September. We really appreciated the chance to take in the magic of the hotel and had a wonder time -
Beautiful setting, grounds and walks around. Grand old lady needing some TLC!

Staff were especially friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our dinner but found portions on the small side! Breakfast was served at the table so no clamouring around how to work toasters or coffee machines, which made a pleasant change.
Our room was very large, comfortable with a new carpet and a hint of elegance too.
Perhaps a small fridge in the room would have helped, there was a coffee machine and coffee choices etc.
A lovely touch was a 'welcome' plate with handmade chocolates to hand. We both appreciated that.
