Rated 5 Stars by Visit Scotland and twice winning the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions “Best Visitor Experience” Award, you’ll get to explore the museum’s two floors of exhibitions and climb the iconic headframe, the huge steel structure above the mine which houses the mining wheel and offers incredible views over Midlothian and beyond.

  • Voucher is valid from Thur 29 Jun 2017 until Sat 30 Sept 2017, Fri - Sun, tours commence at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.45pm & 2pm; subject to availability.
  • Gallery access available between 10am – 5pm.
  • Advance booking required. Voucher must be booked by Fri 22 Sept 2017 (we don't want you to miss out!)
  • You risk forfeiting your voucher if you cancel within 24 hours of your booking.
  • Multiple purchases permitted.
  • Max of 6 people per tour. 
  • Duration approx. 45 - 50 mins. 
  • Voucher is valid for 2 adults (adults classed as those aged 16+)
  • Voucher is valid for entry to two exhibition galleries plus the Head Frame tour only. 
  • Entry to museum is free for children but Head Frame Tour is suitable for adults only.
