  • Fantastic Chilled Afternoon

    Service was fantastic, right from when we entered we were made to feel welcome, received our champagne which was beautifully chilled and lots of life in it - delicious. Was not sure about my starter did not fancy the soup and am not keen on duck so chose the prawn and smoked fish starter (again not my 1st choice due to possible chance of bones) but could not have been more happy with this choice it was delicious. Picked the meat choice from the mains options which arrived just a wee bit red for me but no problem it came back within a few minutes looking better for me and which thankfully did not alter the meats taste or tenderness again most enjoyable, lastly picked the cheesecake dessert which was also so very enjoyable, my husband chose the cheddar cheese and biscuits as his 3rd course but did not enjoy the cheese despite it being probably the most expensive cheddar you can buy which proves it all comes down to personal taste so regardless of what the restaurant serves there will always be something that someone might not like -such is life.
    Overall we both had one of our best Sunday lunches out ever, thanks to all staff both serving and behind the scenes for a lovely day out.
