Rockin’ Vans is the latest and greatest thing to come out of the world of campervan hire. Founded by two brothers who, after years of exploring North America and Australasia in campervans, decided to share their passion with like-minded people in Scotland.
Rockin' Vans’ Volkswagen T4 campervans are individually styled with everything you need for the ultimate adventure. Able to accommodate up to four people sleeping in the van or with two sleeping in the van and two in the modern awnings supplied with the camper, these vehicles are the perfect accessory to a free-wheeling getaway.
Each have gas hobs, a sink, cutlery, crockery, DVD players, some outdoor furniture and all the other bits and bobs you need for a magical summer adventure, not to mention a mean set of wheels which will allow you to take to any highway you choose with the added benefit of a comfortable bed at your mercy in seconds.
This is the ideal way to explore at your own pace while being self-sufficient and it’s perfect for couples, families or small groups of friends. You can even take Rover, bark bark, woof, good dog.
Rockin' Vans' ethos is simple: to help customers create their own memories, go on their own adventures, get off the beaten track and experience the very best that Scotland has to offer.
So you can take Hulk Hogan, your armbands, your surfboard, your girlfriend and whatever else you fancy and when you see a van that’s Rockin, come on in, we’ll stick the kettle on.
Small print
- Voucher is valid from 1st Apr until 26th Sept 2012, 7 days a week; subject to availability.
- You must book your van by 1st July 2012 to avoid disppointment.
- £200 supplement required if hiring for music festivals (see list below) – please arrange with and pay directly to Rockin’ Vans.
- £500 deposit (by card) required upon pick up. This will be refunded in full when dropped off if no internal or external damage; at full discretion of Rockin’ Vans.
- Festivals: T in the Park (6th-8th July), Rockness (8th-10th June), Wickerman (20th & 21st July), Belladrum Tartan Heart (3rd & 4th Aug), Leeds (24th-26th Aug) and V Festival (18th & 19th Aug). Campsite opening/closing times vary depending on festival – please discuss directly with Rockin’ Vans.
- Pick up from 2.30pm, drop off 10.30am.
- One way rentals available at an additional charge - please discuss directly with Rockin' Vans.
- All vans have seatbelts for 4 people, all vans are supplied with awning which can sleep up to 4 people.
- Vans can take 1 child seat – please discuss directly with Rockin’ Vans.
- Surfboard hire and bike hire available, please discuss directly with Rockin’ Vans.
- Drivers must have held a license for at least 1 year and be at least 23 years of age with less than 6 points. Drivers with more than 6 points please contact Rockin’ Vans before purchasing.
- Young drivers aged 23–24 may be subjected to additional insurance premium and an increased excess – please discuss directly with Rockin’ Vans.
Additional drivers will be charged £5 - payable directly to Rockin' Vans. - Unlimited mileage. Vans are manual. Approx 30 miles/gallon.
- There is no bathroom. A porta potty can be arranged directly with Rockin’ Vans at a cost of £15.
- Motorhomes can be collected at Shawhill Cottage, Hurlford, Kilmarnock and your car can be left there during your trip away. Alternatively, railway pick ups/drop offs can be arranged and paid directly with Rockin’ Vans.

- A £30 insurance cover surcharge applies if you wish to travel in Europe – please discuss with and pay directly to Rockin’ Vans.
- Pets are permitted in the vans at an additional £10 per pet – please arrange with and pay directly to Rockin’ Vans.
- All pet hair and odours must be removed on return of the motorhome to the depot at the end of your holiday.
- One voucher per van; one voucher may be purchased per person, multiple voucher purchases are not permitted.
- Only 1 voucher can be used per hire, multiple vouchers cannot be used for additional nights away. If you wish to extend your holiday, please discuss directly with Rockin’ Vans.
- Advanced booking required. The beginning and end period of a voucher’s validity is always the busiest. We advise members to book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
- Once booked you will be permitted to reschedule your hire period once. You risk forfeiting your voucher if you cancel within 1 month of your hire.
- Vouchers must be surrendered for redemption; please print your voucher and bring along with you to avoid disappointment.
- Voucher is not exchangeable for cash or valid with any other offers.
