With today’s itison deal you’ll sail on one of DFDS' modern cruise ferries departing daily from their port in North Shields, Newcastle at 5pm (check-in opens at 2.30pm).
Small print
- Voucher is valid from Wed 2 Jan 2019 until Tue 30 Apr 2019, 7 days; subject to availability.
- A supplementary charge of £20 for two and £30 for four is required for Friday and Saturday sailings; payable directly to DFDS.
- Advance booking required. Voucher must be booked by Thu 28 Feb 2019 (we don’t want you to miss out!).
- Online bookings only.
- Booking made for 1 - 30 Apr 2019 will incur an additional £1 charge per bus transfer; please arrange and pay DFDS directly at time of booking.
- Once booked with DFDS, bookings are non-changeable or refundable; failure to arrive for schedule sailing will also result in forfeiture of your voucher.
- Bookings on the day of travel or at port will not be accepted.
- DFDS confirmation must be printed for travelling; please bring along with you to avoid disappointment.
- Multiple voucher purchases permitted.
- 2 or 4 berth inside cabin available. Members can upgrade based on availability, please discuss at time of booking.
- A supplementary charge of £18 required for a sea view cabin; payable directly to DFDS.
- Options 2 and 4 include breakfast.
- Children permitted and included in the total cabin capacity. Children ages 0 - 3 travel free (no separate bed provided). Children aged 4+ are classed as adults.
- Duration: 2 nights.
- Departing from Newcastle: check in opens at 2.30pm and closes 4.15pm, boarding opens at 3pm and closes at 4.30pm, leaving at 5pm.
- Departing from Amsterdam: check in opens at 2.30pm and closes 4.45pm, boarding opens at 3.30pm and leaves at 5.30pm.
- Departure times subject to change as dependent on weather conditions.
- Charged parking available at the ferry terminal; payable to Port of Tyne.
- Includes return coach transfers from Amsterdam port to Amsterdam City.
- No pets permitted.

We booked the bus transfers, Newcastle and Amsterdam, seemless and straight to and from the ferry.
The food on board in the a la carte restaurant was amazing.
We had the breakfast buffet which had a good variety.
I would suggest prepaying as it's cheaper.
I probably wouldn't have the bunk beds again, bit of a challenge. We thought we'd try it and see. Having an inside cabin was fine as you're sleeping overnight and there's not a lot to see.
We were lucky the crossings were smooth. That's more down to luck with the weather.
There was a decent duty free shop, several bars with entertainment and the staff were all very helpful and friendly.
Body wash and soap applied in the cabin with towels. You will need a travel adapter for electrical goods.
Never tried anything like this before, pleasantly surprised. Ferry was very clean both in the cabin, communal areas and toilets. -

What an amazing experience. The ferry journey was great with lots to do on board. Slept like a baby, even when the waters were choppy on the way home. Fault free check in, boarding, departing and arriving. Only small complaint was that only the people who have paid for breakfast are allowed in the area, therefore I was turned away despite the fact I don't eat breakfast and just wanted to keep my husband company.
