Hop to it!
If you’re a beer enthusiast, you’d be hopping mad to miss today’s belter of a deal; you can enjoy a great day at The Beer Kitchen where you’ll be welcomed to a full Brew School experience. With a prime position on Edinburgh’s popular Lothian Road, The Beer Kitchen is part of the multi award-winning Innis & Gunn Brewing Company. They won a whopping five awards at the 2017 Scottish Beer Awards, so you know you’ll be spending the day in very safe (and skilled) hands!
You’ll begin with a friendly and informative discussion with your host, where you’ll be talked through the ingredients used to create Innis & Gunn’s fantastic beers, as well as what to expect for the rest of the day. Once you’ve learned about the core Innis & Gunn range, you’ll be treated to a few beer samples before you begin mashing your very own brew! After a tasty lunch, you’ll return to add yeast and hops to your creation before ending the day with a schooner of any beer on tap. And that’s not all – once it’s been given a couple of weeks to ferment, you’ll be able to take away a 5-litre mini keg of your specially made brew to show off to (or drink with) all your pals. Cheers!
As you’re giving your beer some time alone to brew, you can enjoy tucking into some tasty food from The Brew Kitchen’s fantastic lunch menu. With a selection of veggie and vegan options also available, there’s something to tempt everyone’s taste buds. Try the likes of Innis & Beer brined chicken served on ciabatta with avocado, lettuce and mayonnaise plus a side of fries. Or savour a tasty halloumi gyro with roasted peppers, sundried tomatoes, tahini yoghurt and skin-on chips. And if you have a sweet tooth, we’ve got you covered with scrumptious vegan waffles drizzled with maple syrup and sweet berries. Yum!

“I would highly recommend The Brew School to anyone interested in craft beer and the brewing process. Fantastic value for the whole day event; we got to try a large selection (maybe all!) of the brilliant beers on tap from Innis & Gunn and other local brewers.”
“It was brilliant and well worth the money! We were well-fed and the food was lovely. We got to sample several of the beers on sale, plus we got to make our own beer and get to bring it home in a couple weeks! The staff were super informative and very friendly. I would recommend brew school to anyone!”
“Amazing Brew School ran by Madison - very knowledgeable and she made everyone feel at ease. She answered all of our questions in detail and made the day very fun. The food was also amazing, especially the mac n’ cheese and chicken wings.”
