With today’s deal you'll receive two adult tickets or a family ticket for up to six to Balmoral Castle.
You’ll enjoy access to the estate’s extensive formal and vegetable gardens, and visit the castle’s unique ballroom where you can see original works of art by artists such as Carl Haag and Landseer, silver figurines and porcelain objects. You can marvel at the new exhibitions for 2018 including the incredible Crystals of Balmoral which uncovers hidden gems during Queen Victoria’s reign, and the Land Rover exhibition that looks back on the legendary 4x4 vehicle. In the stable exhibitions, you can explore the management of this 50,000 acre estate as well as the unique wildlife, landscapes and activities.
At the beginning of the tour you’ll be given an audio handset so you can walk around at your own pace, whilst learning all about the history of this magnificent estate. And if all that walking works up an appetite, you can visit the licensed café located in The Pipers Hall where they serve a locally-sourced menu, ice creams and refreshing drinks.
Set amongst the magnificent scenery of Royal Deeside, in the shadows of the Lochnagar mountain, Balmoral was purchased by Prince Albert in 1852 for Queen Victoria. It has been a favourite holiday home to the royal family ever since, with the queen spending ten weeks at the castle each year, longer than she spends at any other residence!
