It’s the most important meal of the day, so they say, and Teacup Kitchen in the Northern Quarter sure take that seriously. With queues out the door at weekends, you’d be hard pushed to find a better dish to start your day. The unfussy and cosy atmosphere sets it apart from the trendy surroundings of the district, this café is all about the food with a conscious nod to their own ecological impact. Sourcing the freshest ingredients and championing local farmers is engrained into their ethics, as is reducing waste as much as possible. Have you ever been able to fully compost a takeaway coffee cup – including the lid? Here, you can.
