stayed for two nights the room was nice just a little tired, creaky floors but to be expected in an old property. The food was excellent in both the dinning room and at the pub. The staff really look after you from arrival to to leaving, would go back as perfect location for visiting the surrounding areas.

Enjoyed our 2night stay at Linden Hall , very relaxing and central for visiting the surrounding towns. We enjoyed a very nice dinner on our first night and breakfast was plenty full .

Room and spa facilties we're lovely but was disappointed on going down to dinner to be told that the restaurant was closed and we had to eat in the onsight pub. We expected the standard of the sample menu but it was pub food. Its not on your site, we weren't told at reservation or when we checked in

The dining room was only open on Friday/satuday night which was disappointing. Our dinner reservation had not been noted, so we had a late pub meal. The food was very much “pub grub” almost everything was with chips & some things were not available
The spa was “tired” the changing facilities in need of an upgrade
The coffee machine was broken so very limited drinks available on the following morning
That said, the staff were all pleasant &helpful, and the breakfast was lovely

Everything was fine apart from the service at busy times.

Having had nothing but good experiences with Itison accommodation deals we were very disappointed with Linden Hall. Our welcome was surly, the multiple reception staff seemed distracted by the wedding in progress. Being a 4 star hotel, expectations were high and we’d paid for a room upgrade. How disappointed we were when the room we had wasn’t particularly generous in size, the furniture was saggy, walls marked and the bathroom had broken tiles, chipped enamel in the bath and a general air of it not being maintained. After the disappointment of the sad room we tried to make the best of it by going to the spa. The corridor leading to the spa had grubby patches and the actual changing rooms and shower area reminded me of my local council baths in the 1980s. Our sleep was disturbed by noisy wedding parties in the adjoining rooms. The ONLY saving Grace was the breakfast staff who were friendly and delivered a prompt and efficient service. The breakfast choice was good and cooked orders and tea and coffee arrived promptly. Wish we’d read the reviews before we booked as would have never have wasted the money!

We enjoyed staying at Linden Hall, all staff were very friendly and helpful.
While our room was nice we were at the rear of the hotel with lovely views but above the kitchen where the fans came on at 6 am until 10pm. I like to sleep with the window open and it was very noisy so I would request a room further away next time.
Breakfast was delicious.

Beautiful hotel & lovely surroundings. However our room had dirty, rotting windows & areas around the bathroom were black.
We had to request removal of a filthy sheet outside our window that had clearly been there for some time judging by the state of the grass underneath- how could cleaning staff not see it?
Some staff ignorant carrying on their own conversation rather than attending to guests.
Both mornings had to ring reception as water was freezing despite running shower for at least 10 mins.
Breakfast poor. 1 slice of toast each was delivered to the table which was more like bread.
Undercooked bacon & my order of what I didn't want on breakfast was wrong both days.
Checking out - only comment was you don't owe anything- no have you enjoyed your stay etc?

The room was good but the shower did not work nor did the extract fan. The restaurant was closed during the week however the breakfast was very good. There was a pub restaurant on site. The grounds were well maintained. The external woodwork is due to be painted.
We liked the area and there were a number of places within a short drive to eat.
We would go back but some maintenance is required.
