I was recently in a Rick Stein restaurant in London where I was completely underwhelmed. In contrast I was gifted this meal to a restaurant I hadn’t heard of and was blown away by the attention to detail, the care the staff displayed and the complexity of the food.
We had an amazing meal, the “Wee taster” which left us completely content. (I don’t use that word lightly!!!)
If you want to leave a restaurant utterly happy and wanting for nothing then Bilson Eleven is a great place to start.

Our experience (my husband & I) dining here was second to none! We were in need of a ‘treat’ and this dining experience of the ‘Wee Taster’ menu at Bilson Eleven was just that! Everything from the moment we arrived, the eclectic decor, friendly and knowledgeable staff, most wonderful food, excellent drinks (great wines!), background music, all in the best of taste. I would highly recommend as a hidden gem of our city!

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the restaurant & would happily go back again.

Bilson Eleven was up to it's usual high standard of superb contrasting flavours and textures over each course. The highlights for me were the cod with fresh peas and the venison, but every course and the surprises/snacks to start were wonderful. The 'art on a plate' adds to the overall dining adventure.
The relaxed ambience adds to the experience of peaceful enjoyment with no pressure to leave for the next customer.

Loved this foodie experience! The setting was quirky and different, and not pretentious at all. The food and service were second to none. The only thing was there were large gaps between courses, but they were worth the wait. A brilliant evening of good food, wine and service.

Quirky maybe, old fashioned maybe but absolutely grand in every way. The restaurant is small and the ambiance homely. The service is attentive but never in-your-face. The courses come at just the right pace, the order carefully thought out and each one perfectly executed. There is lots of interest on the plate without being fussy or indulgent. Portion sizes are just right at the end we felt completely satisfied but not over-full.
We drank wines by the glass the quality of which matched the price.
The restaurant is a little out of the way but really worth the effort to get there. A super night out.
