We visit The Plaza regularly for Sunday lunch, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is great with the addition of live music. The service is consistently excellent and Kevin is an exceptional person who cannot do enough for you and always with a smile. He's a great ambassador for the hotel.

Excellent Service, Drinks pricey, We all thought the Potatoes and Yorkie were frozen not fresh produce, however rest of vegetables were lovely. Grandaughter didn’t like chicken served on the bone but thats just her personal preference. Overall a nice experience..

We were seated at the far end of the dining area…. So the waiting staff rarely made it as far as us. We had to ask for drinks, ask for cutlery, ask to order…… shame cos the food was absolutely fantastic!!

Tasty roast with plenty of veg. Nice staff. Good atmosphere. Wouldn't pay £70 for 2 people! £30 is good value with Itison

The food was exceptional as always. The majority of staff were excellent. Engaging, attentive and professional. The singer in the lobby was ok but way too loud for those of us trying to have a conversation while eating which was a shame.
I will be back on a Sunday if I know I can chat to my lunch date. Thank you.

We've been to the Crowne Plaza in more than one occasion and that was why we went back. The live music was too loud and it inhibited conversation

We had booked a "roast dinner for two" but decided to take our daughter with us and pay for her separately.
We were given a large oven tray, full of roast vegetables, with one small chicken sitting on top of the veg (the chicken had only one leg, one had been removed, presumably by the kitchen), and a set of tings plus a carving knife.
My wife and I had one small breast each, with my daughter having one leg and two minute wings. There was also two small bowls of cauliflower cheese, a small Yorkshire each, and one gravy boat.
My wife splashed herself with the oil from the tray, while trying to carve the meat off the chicken, so had this all down her top.
No staff came near us after we were served, so we sat with empty glasses. On that subject, the water glasses on the table were quite 'dirty' looking, so my wife refused to take the table water from the glass.
They had a guitarist playing in the atrium area, through an amplifier, the volume was far too loud, so much so that we could hear each other talking.
Asked for the bill, to find we'd been 'stung' £35 for my daughter's meal (one chicken leg, two miniature wings and some veg). We had paid £35 for the voucher for two of us!
We challenged the bill, to be told "the price was on the menu", and that was that. Oh, not to mention the £10 charge for two soft drinks (which included a £3 "service charge".
Also had to pay £4.50 to park the car in the hotel car park.
Nope, ripped off, won't be back!

10 of us went for a Sunday roast lunch and we were not disappointed. Food was lovely as was the hotel restaurant and the entertainment they put on. Definitely recommend.
