I was unable to use the facilities due to a medical issue and asked if I could rearrange the appointment. While I completely understand this isn't possible when busy I was told I couldn't because I was an hour too late asking for it. I had been phoning earlier and unable to get through, which made it more disappointing.
So only got to use half the voucher. The massage therapist was great, the person on reception was good. I appreciate it's policy, but I wouldn't buy a voucher again after this disappointing experience.

we were chatting in the relax room and told off so we asked if there was somewhere to sit elsewhere where we could sit and chat and were told there was nowhere by a member of staff. following that 2 members of staff were chatting at just the same level of noise as us. we got changed and left earlier. this could have been handled better however most staff were very nice and facilities were good. I hadnt seen my friend for a while and we were not rowdy. would probably go again but do hope this does not happen again. there are much better ways to ask for us to have been quieter and staff talking loudly should follow their own advice

We had a lovely relaxing day here. We started in the pool area. We then had a very relaxing massage and facial which was wonderful. We ended the day with a drink in the comfortable bar. The member of staff who served was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the history of this lovely hotel. Will definitely return.

Pros: Treatments were nice and staff were lovely. Plenty of parking and quiet as we went midweek.
Cons: If you didn’t want a facial as part of your treatment (due to having extremely sensitive skin) and only the back massage, you had to pay extra to ‘upgrade’. I felt this was a bit unfair considering we’d already paid for a 55 minute treatment. Cardrona are of the same chain and were much more accommodating.
In addition, we are not swimmers so were looking forward to using the sauna, only to find out (when trying to enter it) that it was out of use. It would have been nice to have been advised this at the time of booking so we could decide to choose a later date.
Restaurant didn’t have a soul in it, so it put us off going there for lunch. That being said we can’t judge the food as we didn’t eat there.
