Excellent hotel and very responsive staff. On arrival Jane and Alex were warm and welcoming. Later on when we mentioned room was a bit noisy as near heating boiler Jane immediately sprang into action and arranged another room. This had a garden view and was very comfortable and quiet.
Evening meal and breakfast were great and the grounds are outstanding in natural beauty.

Been many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. Staff are superb and accommodation very clean & comfortable. As a dog friendly hotel it would be good if they had more dog bins & reminders for people to pick up after their dogs and to have leads on them.

We are regular visitors to Stonefield Castle and can’t recommend it enough. Staff are amazing and even remembed about my husbands poor mobility and gave us a lovely room on the ground floor

Staff, food, room, atmosphere and location couldn't have been better. What else is there to say.

Fantastic building, full of character, great views , exceptional gardens and good food. I am relatively local and would go again.

Staff were lovely, place was nice.
However, food was very expensive and disappointing. A tomato cut into 4 and a spoonful of cheese not my idea of a starter at the price it was.
Dog whining next door at 2 in the morning, and again at 6.00 didn’t make for a restful night! Would suggest animals kept well away from guests without them!

We have been going to Stonefield Castle for over 20 years and although ownership has changed during this period the ambiance and scenery have remained the same. We had an overnight stay and enjoyed a walk in the gardens containing many varieties of rhododendrons in bloom. The castle’s public places have remained as one would expect in an old castle, with wood panelling, high ceilings and appropriate furnishings. The bedrooms have been upgraded over time and are warm, comfortable and some offer the most magnificent views of Loch Fyne and the gardens between. A snooker room and a well-stocked library offer a retreat for when the weather is inclement. The Bar is well-stocked with whiskies, beers etc and the food on offer is the best of seafood from a knowledgeable chef. Finally, the best part is the welcoming, friendly and efficient staff who make every visit a real treat.
