My husband and I were apprehensive about staying at Hotel Colessio after reading the reviews but we remained optimistic and open minded. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely staff member and were shown to our room. After mentioning in the booking that we were celebrating our anniversary, the hotel very kindly left a personalised card and some delicious cakes in our room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the next morning were impressed by the breakfast selection. Hot foods - bacon, eggs, sausages etc. cereals, pastries, fruit, yogurt plus fruit juices and tea and coffee. When checking out, staff were very pleasant and helpful and kept our bags while we explored the city.
One tip - parking within the hotel is very expensive, we parked close by on WellGreen Rd which cost £2.30 for 24hrs.

The smell of animals in the hotel is bad, I know this is an animal friendly hotel but it shouldn’t smell that bad!
There was hardly any food at breakfast and the car parking situation is shocking, when you’re staying at a hotel you should be able to park in their hotel car park.
The reception staff were so unhelpful also and very cheeky!
Will not recommend the hotel to anyone

There is no atmosphere especially when there is no provision for evening meals, buffets breakfast was ok, doesn’t help when there is a lack of staff, housekeeping lady Esther was very nice helping with cases as lift which was broken and my husband was parking the car outwith the hotel as high parking charges have been introduced £14 for 24 hours and the Well green multi storey was £2.30 with a pleasant lady in attendance.

Hotel and staff were great especially when they had not received our booking. Luckily I did the confirmation email from Itison and the lady managed to sort it out and get us a room.

very annoyed with the parking charges, this was our third visit and we had no idea we would be charged. We also paid £10 extra for an upgrade which was much smaller than we had before and on the ground floor with no outlook.
