We had a very enjoyable afternoon at The Landmark in Dundee. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We used the leisure access first and went in the gym which had a lovely view of the garden whilst using the machinery. The swimming pool was warm and although not large was perfectly adequate to sw quietly around in. Most of the time we had it to ourselves. The changing rooms could do with being updated but the shower was good and hot. The afternoon tea was in the restaurant by a window looking over the garden. I am a veggie and had warm veggie sausage rolls which were delicious, finger sandwiches, warm scones which were very nice and some cakes. My hubby has a small warm steak pie and sausage roll, finger sandwiches, scone and cakes. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. We had to move tables as we were sitting under a blower, but not a problem for them. The food was lovely and plentiful. Refills of tea. Doggy bag for leftovers.

Took my elderly mum for a birthday treat. We were sat in the restaurant which was great as it was very quiet as my mum doesn’t cope well with lots of noise. The food was lovely and as ever too much, which the staff packed up for us. The staff were extremely friendly and looked after us very well. Definitely recommend this as it was a bargain!

I booked a Gluten free afternoon tea for myself my daughter and my granddaughter. My granddaughter is 7 years old and recently diagnosed coeliac. It has been a difficult time for her but she's tried to stay positive inspite of a lot of ignorance around a gluten free diet. Even people who do understand it still tend to say "oh you're the gluten free one" . I wanted to give her a nice hotel experience where everything on the table was gluten free therefore no one was 'different.'. However in spite of me telephoning and explaining the situation several times beforehand the hotel still got it wrong. What should have been a lovely day out ended up doing more harm than good!
Food was nice but in house communication very poor.

When we entered the hotel (having never been here before), we asked the receptionist where we could access the leisure facilities and she directed us through to the bar. The barman didn’t know about using the pool but directed us back to reception where we eventually saw the pool through the door. It was jam packed with a children’s swimming lesson taking place. a helpful man called Nathan. Explained that the lessons were on till 3pm but that we could use half the pool to swim. Hardly a relaxing experience. The sauna and steam room was also available but with all the children running about and the parents etc, it really wasn’t ideal. We had our afternoon tea which was fine and the waiter and waitresses were all very helpful. The Landmark need to get organised for their afternoon tea/leisure deals as the staff seemed really out of their depth and unaware of how to treat guests. No one likes hanging about unsure where to go and there were also staff hanging about reception discussing a fire alarm that had gone off earlier that morning and we felt we were being ignored so they could continue their loud moaning.
