The food was OK- just the service was poor.

We enjoyed our afternoon tea and it was very good value. Excellent choice of savouries, sandwiches and sweet choices. The venue was very quiet but that was not there fault and the service was good.

Lovely afternoon tea but only gave 4 stars as it was so cold. Had to keep our jackets on

Lovely afternoon tea. The staff were attentive, bringing pots of tea and then our savouries which were tasty. The celeriac soup was absolutely mouth watering. Then came more tea, better this time (hotter) and the sweet goodies. The scones were fresh and gorgeous, but the portion of cream and jam they brought in dishes was a bit stingy. As two of our party didn't like strawberry jam/cream we were given butter and other jams too, with no problem.
All round good value, good portion sizes.
I would return

The service provided was excellent. They went above and beyond and even provided sandwiches for our toddler FoC.

From start to finish the Richmond was brilliant! Rooms very clean, modern and comfortable. Afternoon Tea very tasty and well presented. Evening meal and breakfast all good and nice bar to relax afterwards and enjoy drinks. All the staff were outstanding, especially the young team who served our afternoon tea, a real credit to the hotel.

Not available 7 days as stated on voucher. Served in a disjointed manner in two halves on flat plates instead of three teirs. Long wait between first and second serving

Four of us were shown to a table set for two people. Took 35 minutes before we were offered tea or coffee. Tea & coffee arrived shortly after and was not very warm, in addition we did not receive two missing cups.
Eventually the food arrived and was very nice.
Unfortunately the poor service ruined the experience and I will certainly never go back.
