Really poor experience was excited to try here but wasn’t the best cakes where solid asked for more sandwiches to which the guy had to go over to the shops buy more bread we asked for ham and cheese came back with mustard on it which I hate mustard so was a waste as didn’t eat them just not the greatest of experiences and pretty gutted as it was a bday gift for my sister in law

Better choice in sandwich fillers. Nuts in filling not very suitable, presentation poor could be improved to appeal more inviting nice touch with steam

Have been a couple of times before we had the experience of the ‘misty roses’ from the centrepiece bowl. However on this occasion we didn’t get it was a wee but disappointed (hence only 4/5 rating on this visit) But would not let it put me off returning

Inside DL was lovely. Pretty crammed though we had to move tables to get into our seat. My husband and I went with the kids (9&11) and ordered them the steak and eggs. We had asked for the egg to be well done. Eventually when the meal came the eggs were runny and had to send them back. By this point the steak was freezing cold. The kids did eat it but I definitely wouldn’t have. We had also finished our afternoon tea before their meal even came.
The scones and cakes very lovely but the sandwiches weren’t that great. Obviously had been sitting out a while. Egg mayo was fine how’d we the ham sandwiches had more fat than ham.
Overall were were pretty disappointed and wouldn’t gone back.

Sandwiches poor, cakes 2 sponge cakes, 2 small macarons, 2 tiny jars for jam and cream to share for scones. Not value for money. Very dissapointed as this was treat for friend. Only saved by lovely staff.
