Lovely building and room where afternoon tea was served. Could have done with some paintings on the wall. Walls a bit bare.
Service excellent and staff very pleasant and attentive.
Sandwiches ok but brioche roll hard.
Cheese choux puff a non event.
Small meat pie full of flavour and extremely delicious
Scones gorgeous - crusty on the outside and fluffy on inside. Not enough jam or cream.
Star of the cakes was macaron. Chewy and fresh tasting.
Battenberg lovely if you like marzipan but 2/3 of our crowd did not

We enjoyed our visit. Unlimited tea or coffee. Good range of items. Only a couple weren’t very good. The egg mayonnaise on a brioche bun was badly needing seasoning and the lemon meringue pie pastry was very hard with the result the meringue went everywhere. The profiterole and the haggis pie were very good. The staff were very professional and friendly.

The afternoon tea was beautiful. The service was professional but a little slow though and not very attentive once the afternoon tea was given. I would definitely go back though.

The food was delicious. Staff boxed what we couldn't finish for later. Impressive surroundings but not intimidating or formal. Staff were friendly and service was excellent. A real treat.
