It could have been a little warmer but that didn’t deter us from sitting out on deck wrapped in a blanket. Thorough enjoyed our little cruise.

The trip on the Sir Walter Scott came up to my expectations, however my husband done the booking over the phone ,giving our name ,voucher numbers and reference number .He was told that was all they needed to ensure we could gain access to the boat trip. Unfortunately when we arrived at the booking office they asked for the voucher which we didn’t have. I was told they only had our name . This was very stressful as I had all the details on my I -pad, luckily it was in the car but I had no access to WiFi. Thankfully the staff in the cafe helped me to connect to their Wi-Fi so I could access my booking . I would recommend that it is made clearer for customers that they must provide the voucher to the booking office on arrival to avoid another situation like I faced.

The 1 hour cruise on the steamship on Loch Katrine was well organised and very informative from the crew which included some humour. The following afternoon tea was very nice and ended a pleasant day.

This was not our first visit to Loch Katrine or our first trip on the Steamship however it has been a while and a return visit was long overdue. The boat trip is magical, it is such a beautiful and peaceful part of Scotland within easy reach of the big cities in the central belt. There is plenty of car parking, there is a cafe which serves lovely food and drinks and everything is well organised. The crew on the boat are friendly and the commentary from the captain was excellent. There are different places to sit on the baot and blankets are provided if you find it chilly. The bar serves drinks and snacks. Autumn is a lovely time to visit although I would advise wrapping up against the chill which comes off the loch, there is an option to sit inside on the boat which is obviously warmer. The voucher gave us a substantial saving on our tickets and I would definitely purchase them again.

Very friendly staff all throughout, would like to highlight the sailor with his warm hosting skills, talking about the history of the loch and cracking jokes along the way. The bot ride was a good length and very comfortable. Upon finishing the ride, you can make your way to the cafe where you are met with a hearty afternoon tea with clear views over the loch. the cake selection was excellent. Would highly recommend going
