We were greetedby the most miserable receptionist, who didnt smile once and reluctantly showed us into the back restaurant, not to our booked table in the drawing room.
The music was weirdly mixed but wad ok.
The afternoon tea was ok, the pies wete exceptional, sandwiches were not tasty and the cakes were very chewy and not we expected from a 4 star hotel.
We would not go back or recommend it.

The tea was poor sandwiches were tasteless and bread dry scones were dry .My tea wasn"t very hot although the coffee was fine. It wasn't busy but had to ask for refills etc. have had far better experiences at less expensive places on Aberdeen. Maybe just a bad day but not what I had expected - was a wee treat for a dear friend so left disappointed he

Small pie and sandwiches tasty, scone rock hard and miniature Victoria sponge was soggy and inedible. Sadly would not return.

Service was slow to start with and had to ask to be served but after that really enjoyed our afternoon. Staff ( unfortunately did not get his name) were exemplary in helping my friend's car which had become stuck. Food was very nice. Would go again.

The spa day was excellent, we were really well looked after by the lady on duty on Saturday 23rd September. The massage was excellent and we all felt great after......only problem was the changing room, the floor was very wet and slippy and my daughter had quite a nasty fall. Maybe for health and safety reasons it may be safer having mats down in the changing rooms .......
We had afternoon tea in the main hotel and it was delicious, would recommend these vouchers to anyone, such a great day out!

The afternoon tea has improved since the last time we were there, a year ago. More choice and even had to take some home in a box!
One downside was we had to reach out to staff when we needed more tea, as there was noone around.
