We went with friends, it’s a beautiful old hotel in a beautiful location with the most amazing views. But sadly both rooms were very tired and in much need of a revamp.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was good, but did take a while for food to be replaced, but we were in no rush so didn’t really bother us.

Had a lovely stay at glenburn hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely views from lounge bar and terrace overlooking the sea. Good meal and very good buffet breakfast. Will return.

Although I phoned to book an upgrade to sea View rooms for the 2 bookings with the hotel manager , on arrival at the hotel there was only 1 sea view room allocated to us. I explained that the reason we had upgraded was because we had recommended the hotel to my brother a couple of months before and ther room was very cold and the carpet was very dirty. Hence we upgraded this time , as on our previous visit last November we had a sea view room which was OK. Our friends were allocated a twin room at the back of the hotel room 121. The carpet hadn't been hoovered and was muddy and it was very dark as the weeds and trees covered all of the 2 windows. Although we asked for the room to be hoovered it wasn't done. We spent 2 nights here. ( we weren't charged for our upgrade because of the error. . Room 109 ( double room but quite small. ) The food was very good and the waiting staff were great.

This was our second visit to The Glenburn Hotel and we were not disappointed. Staff were very helpful, food was really good, rooms were clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed the Glenburn. Liked the traditional decor. Room was ok. Food was fine. Would go back.

The experience was not as we thought it would be. A bar meal not a restaurant meal. Poor quality ingredients for food at breakfast.

We have stayed here several times now and love it. The building is gorgeous, location great for walking into Rothesay and it has a great view.
The hotel is ' tired ' looking inside but the staff make up for that.
Will definitely go back.

The hotel is tired and worn looking. The room though clean, was basic and no chance to upgrade. I am coeliac and had checked they could cater but there was only 1 item on the dinner menu suitable and the waiter was very unhelpful about getting me anything else. We had meant to eat there on our 3 nights but this was impossible. It was a very disappointing break
