We've been many times before but this was the first occasion we've used an Itison voucher. Food was it's usual high standard, service was outstanding and in short, just great value for a lovely night out.

Our waitress was superb. Australian girl. Sorry did not get her name but she accommodated all our needs and was outstanding. Defintely an asset to the restaurant.

There were 4 in our party. Starters (french onion soup and Haggis balls) were fine. Main courses ,however, were very mixed. 2 had the chicken which was overcooked, especially the roast potatoes , which we could barely cut. the trout was delicious but the Lapin had very little meat so disappointed.
Having said that the Provence rose was lovely, the staff were friendly and attentive, but not overly so. Might be tempted to try again some time.

We had never been here before but loved it. The food was very tasty-particularly the Oeuf en Cocotte and the Lamb burger.
The service was faultless too.

Brilliant quality food with lots of great flavours in a great ambience. With 2 courses and a coffee we left really satisfied. Calamari starter was a highlight. Service quick and friendly.

Loved the whole Maison Bleue experience, from calling to book a table (they couldn’t have been nicer), arriving and being shown to our wee window seat, to the service and food.
Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about both the food and drinks. We were never harassed and had a very relaxed meal. In terms of food, both of our starters had a subtle North African twist - pizzette (spicy vegetable tarlet) and their “surprise” Calamari - I won’t spoil the surprise! Our mains were very French, Lapin a la moutarde and moules frites, both were delicious and plentiful. We had quite a list of cocktails to choose from and these were also delicious.
Conveniently located near Edinburgh Old Town in an historic building this is a real find. Only downside was the trek up two floors to the toilets, but we worked off the extra desserts we had ordered.
