We had a very good lunch. My wife was surprised to find that the beetroot in her salad appeared to have been pickled (not out of a jar, it has to be said). This left her a bit disappointed in her starter. Mine (salmon & broccoli linguine) was excellent. We were both very happy with our coley and nero risotto.
Service was attentive and friendly.

We booked the two course lunch for two. Luckily it was a nice day and we got to experience sitting outside. Nick has done an amazing job of his restaurant post the fire . It’s classy but relaxing at the same time. The food was off the scale. We both had the smoked salmon linguine and the pork belly. Could not fault a thing. The staff were welcoming friendly and we will definitely be back to sample the a la carte . Thanks for a wonderful experience !

Starters were excellent. Mains slightly disappointing. It felt weird to see other diners getting better looking mains. I thought we were getting a deal for the main lunch menu. But they have a special 'Itison menu' which kind of made you feel you were in the 'cheap seats' It would be nicer to let voucher holders see the proper menu and pay extra if they wish.
Hope you take this feedback in the manner which it was intended. The visit was my sisters birthday. If I'd known in advance - I would just have gone straight there to see what it was like. Although I've been - I couldn't tell what other dishes they did.

Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch at Nairns. Generous portions and very tasty. Great service and lovely atmosphere. It was a beautiful day so we were able to sit outdoors with our drink. Perfect setting. Appreciated the discretionary 12.5% service charge was not on the bill. Edinburgh restaurants should take more.
